Beauty: Want to get the Summer Glow?

Beauty: Want to get the Summer Glow?
by

I have been waiting for the summer to start here in Iceland but it seems like this country only has three seasons: winter, spring and fall. We have been lucky in the last week though with a few sunny days but I haven´t had any success in getting that that sun-kissed look. My skin is really pale and takes forever getting any color. I also have a sun allergy so I have to be extra careful in the sun anyway.

Now with the Tradesmen’s Weekend (Verslunarmanna helgi) coming up, and many of us are going out camping – we need something to boost our natural glow – don´t you think !?!

I had been wanting to try out the Marc Inbane products and last week I was lucky enough to get my hands on the products. I must admit I was a little bit vary because I have tried self tanner before and I almost always end up either looking like an orange or with spots or streaks all over – not a sexy look 🙂

I wanted to tell you my method when using Marc Inbane:

  • I start by using the Black Exfoliate scrub, this is key!!!  The scrub removes all dead skin and is deeply hydrating, which helps your the spray tan last longer and get more even. I recommend this scrub even if you are not planning to do the spray tan. My skin feels more even, smooth and hydrated but it tends to get very dry especially after a bath or shower.
  • Now for the spray tan part: Start by shaking the bottle, some people prefer spraying on to the glove first and then apply to the skin but I prefer spraying onto the skin and even out by using the glove. The glove is also great to get to the “hard to reach” places such as your back.
  • The instructions recommend that you wait 10-15 minutes before getting dressed but I don´t  feel like I have to wait that long.
  • There is a little brush that comes with the spray, you can use it to take away any streaks or lines that you see. I haven´t had to use it. I use it to apply my foundation and it works great.

Tip: hold the spray around 30 cm away from your skin. It takes around 10  minutes to dry but if you are in a rush you can use your hairdryer to speed things up !!

Conclusion: This spray worked really well on me – and feels totally idiot proof so I will be sticking to this one from now on. I love the fact that this product contains Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and Gingko ( an antioxidant and prevents skin damage ) the spray is also paraben free. I am trying to work on what products I use ( ehm… babysteps ).

If you want to find more about the products check out the Marc Inbane website here!! There you will find tutorial videos on how to apply the product as well as an online shop!!
